Normal Events (one day events) La-Di-Day On La-Di-Day, the villagers in your town cannot stop singing. Every person you talk to will sing. Everyone is trying to come up with a new town tune and they want you to decide who's song is the best. Some people are shy and you will have to talk to them more than once to get them to sing for you. If you like the person's town song, you can tell them "You're hired!" and their song will be the new town tune. If you get tired of the town tune, before the day ends, you can tell another person their hired and their song will be the new town tune. Flea Market This is when you can go to a neigbor's house and buy their furniture. I don't think it's any cheaper than the furniture at Nook's but the animals won't sell their rare items. I also figured out that you can sell shells of the beach for about 100 bells more than they are worth. Fishing Tourney The rules of the Fishing Tourney are simple. Whoever cathches the biggest fish by 6:00 pm. gets a priceless golden trophy. Talk with the mayor near thecivic center. If you do not already have the fishing rod, the mayor willgive you a free one. Make the biggest catch you can- a shark would do nicely. Bug Off It's time for your neigbors to bug off! Find and talk to the mayor to enter the bug catching tourtament. As with the rod in the Fishing Tourney, the Mayor will give you a net if you don't already have one. To win the contest, you must catch the biggest bug by 6:00 pm. All bugs count, but the Mayor will keep the bugs afterwords. And addition to the trophy, you will get a letter written on special paper from the mayor. Yay Day Is everyone treating you a little to nicely today? Check your calender because it might be Yay Day. Yay Day is a special day when everyone you talk to will comment you. In return, they ask you to say something nice to them. This is the tricky part, you have to compliment them according to their personality or they will be offended. The neigbor will remember your sweet talk and later ask you if you really ment to say that. If you say yes, it will increase your freindship with that town person. Your Birthday When you tell a neigbor your birthday at least one day before it occurs, he will remember it and when your birthday comes, he will give you a gift. Be sure to return the favor when they invite you to their party. Special Events (one week events) Bright Nights The Bright Nights are a treasured tradition in your town. Everyone Decorates their homes with colorful lights to brighten up the dark winter evenings. The folks in town love putting up lights so much that they started a competition and you are the judge. Let the mayor know who you think has the best display then give the winner good news. That neigbor might be so happy he will give you a gift. Flower Fest During the second week of April, the mayor will tell you that everyone in town has a week to start growing a flower garden around their homes. Whoever grows the best garden will win a prize. He will also give you a bag of flowers to get started. The gardens will be judged on style and originality, so mix it up a bit and put some rare flowers in there if you can. Try not to run through your garden and take the neighbors' flowers so you will win. Fireworks Show If you talk to the mayor on a Saturday in August, he will tell you all about the fireworks show. Look at the top screen to see the fireworks lighting up the sky. When you finish talking to him he will give you a sparkler. A second conversation will yeild a roman candle. Acorn Festival During the second week of october, you'll see a mysterious character with an acorn head. It's Cornimier, the king of the Acorn festival. He looks a lot like the mayor but he claims there is no relationship whatsoever. Cornimier loves acorns and wants you to bring as many to him as possible. In exchange, he will give you ultra rare mushroom furniture. The more acorns you bring him the more furniture you get. But if you give him one rotten acorn and the other 14 are good, he will take them all and not count them. Sell the rotten acorns for 2 bells apiece. New Year's Eve Countdown The end of the year is an exiting day in your town. Talk to the mayor at the end of December, and He will give you party poppers to use on New Year's eve. Head down to the town hall to join the celebration with neigbors as you watch the countdown. When it's the new year, fireworks will shoot off and the mayor will dance around. ________________________________ THANKS [ 3.0 ] ________________________________ First, I would like to thank myself for taking the time to type this guide.
